Liv’s Halftime Dancing

February 7, 2013

Who needs her? She makes the lights go out.

We got the Livster for our Super Bowl Halftime entertainment…

Show ’em how it’s done, honey!

Last weekend my wife had a work conference at Glade Springs near Beckley, West Virginia.

The Little Girl and I joined Homeyette for dinner and a night at the resort.

While my wife had her meeting, Liv and I went to play.

Here’s a short video of Liv shooting a full size basketball at a 10 foot basket.

She missed. She looked upset by that.

Liv loves to be outside.

She loves it even more when it snows.

This weekend it snowed and we took her outside to play in it.

Yeah. She learned to throw snowballs at her father.

Hey. Whatever makes her laugh. Righ?

I’ll take one for the team. 🙂

Thanks for the card!

February 1, 2013

This little girl loves getting cards in the mail.

She especially likes it when they have “money!” and stickers in them.

Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma Margaret!

That was perfect!

January 27, 2013

It’s a long story, but here it goes.

There’s a Sesame Street skit that has a yam (a potato lookin’ vegetable thing) that runs around agreeing to everything by saying, “Yam on it!” It’s funny because it’s a yam and he’s saying “Yeah. I’m on it,” but it sounds like he’s saying “Yam on it!”

Got it? LOL probably not, but Liv thinks it’s hilarious.

She laughed a lot during this breakfast. 🙂

The Mall’s New Playground

January 27, 2013

This weekend we took Liv to play at the Charleston Towne Center’s new playground.

The child frickin’ loves it.

Here she is sliding down the broccoli slide…

And here she is crawling through the asparagus tunnel…

They also have a celery slide, cherry stepping stones and a grape leaf climbing wall/slide.

Needless to say it took a little bribery to get her to leave without a meltdown. Mommy’s smart and brought her a lollipop.

Bobby Bonillia!

January 27, 2013

Yeah. She said “Bobby Bonillia!” Even though nobody’s said his name in 20 or so years, Liv has been running around the house yelling it with enthusiasm.

The figurine is a Starting Lineup action figure from, heck, I dunno… 1990? My parents bought me that when the Pittsburgh Pirates didn’t stink. So, yeah, 20-25 years ago.

Bobby Bonillia would be happy if he knew someone still gave a darn about him.

Livvy Hides

January 27, 2013

Check it out… the Little Girl doesn’t think we can see her when she squeezes between the book shelf and the fireplace.

When she pops out she’s super excited because she thinks she’s revealed herself to everyone in the room.

Too cute.

Obama’s Inauguration

January 27, 2013

Liv is a big fan…

She knows who Obama is. She knows her Obama doll. And she knows he’s the President.

This kid is just too much.

Pa and Pippa came to Visit!

January 9, 2013

The weekend after Christmas Pa and Pippa came to visit. It was a fun filled weekend of good food (actually bad for you food), presents, family and football!

As soon as they walked in Virginia Tech was playing Rutgers in the ACME Toilet Bowl. Rutgers slipped out to a 10-0 lead. Virginia Tech (much to my dismay) made a 4th quarter comeback to win 13-10…

There was a happy Virginia Tech alum in the house. He says they came back because of the VT hat we gave him for Christmas. It’s now his lucky hat. Liv, by the way, refers to Pa as “Pa… White Hat” now.

After the Rutgers debacle and some chinese/thai food for dinner we opened presents…

Pippa was a good present opening helper.

Liv got a shopping cart that I’m putting together in the background and some wooden groceries to go in the cart…

Those swell presents earned Pippa an eskimo kiss…

We had a lot of fun that night.

The next day we ate some waffles, went to Buffalo Wild Wings, bought some value wine and watched WVU get destroyed in the New Era Crap Bowl…

Notice the little girl’s face in this picture. WVU hurt her feelings by playing so poorly. It was disgusting.

Despite the WVU setback, we had a great time. It’s a shame the Christmas season is over, but it’s on to 2013.

Thanks for visiting, Pa and Pippa!
